- Strategic Use of Special Candy Combinations: This is the cornerstone of advanced play. While basic special candies are good, their true power unlocks when combined:
- Color Bomb + Color Bomb: The ultimate board clear. This is your go-to move for desperate situations or when you need a massive points boost.
- Striped Candy + Color Bomb: Turns all candies of the striped candy’s color into striped candies, then activates them. Excellent for clearing specific rows or columns across the entire board.
- Wrapped Candy + Color Bomb: Turns all candies of the wrapped candy’s color into wrapped candies, then activates them. Ideal for clearing large clusters of obstacles or jelly.
- Striped Candy + Wrapped Candy: Clears three rows and three columns, effectively blasting a large section of the board.
- Two Wrapped Candies: Creates a double explosion that clears a wider 5×5 area.
- Don’t Rush the “Sugar Crush”: While exciting, the “Sugar Crush” phase (where remaining special candies automatically activate at the end of a level) doesn’t contribute to clearing objectives. Focus on objectives during your active moves, and let the Sugar Crush be a bonus.
